Promorun s a Sport Association funded in 2003 with the aim of organising Trieste’s leading running events, Corri Trieste and The Castles’ Race. Michele Gamba, international marathon runner, IAAF Half Marathon Team World Champion is the founder and the soul of Promorun. His achievements include winning the Florence Marathon in 1999, 5000m, Half Marathon and Cross Country National Champion along with 20k Italian record holder. His extensive knowledge of international athletics fuelled by evergreen passion for road running has enabled to gather significant experience in the industry and being able to offer top quality events attracting interests from the general public, sponsors and media.

Michele and his Team continue to dedicate themselves and disseminate their passion for sport by putting together events open to every part of Trieste community. His Team includes a wide range of Consultants as well as a growing number of dedicated volunteers.

Historic 10 km competitive running race and 5 km Run Family that Promorun has been organizing for 16 years, animating the center of Trieste. The start and finish are in Piazza Unità d'Italia, from here the participants reach Porto Vecchio (Old Docklands), with an interesting and suggestive route with top runners, amateurs and families.
